Consortium

The ECOEM TESSILE Consortium was established to comply with the obligations of its Members in accordance with the national legislation that will be adopted pursuant to Articles 178, 178-bis, 178-ter and 237 of Legislative Decree No. 152 of April 3, 2006 for Textile, Clothing, and Household products.

The Consortium is an offshoot of the ECOEM Group, a homonymous Collective System identified as one of the main National Consortia recognized by MASE and certified for the management of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), Batteries, Accumulators, and domestic and/or professional photovoltaic modules.

The objective of the ECOEM TESSILE Consortium is to assist Producers, Importers and Distributors in complying with the legislation regarding RITEM (Textile and Fashion Waste) and the application of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

The ECOEM TESSILE Consortium operates throughout the national territory and plays a fundamental role in the process of ecological transition and achieving the country’s objectives regarding RITEM recycling. Through an accredited supply chain, the ECOEM TESSILE Consortium guarantees high quality standards in recycling and treatment processes, in full compliance with environmental regulations, creating value and benefits for stakeholders and the environment.
